We all experience setbacks and challenges. This can feel overwhelming at times \u2013 so much so that we may feel stuck right where we are. It can be difficult to envision a positive outcome. We can get hung up on negative thoughts and even lose a little hope along the way. This is when our mindset matters most. We may see the journey ahead as a struggle \u2013 uncertain and even a little unnerving. We know it\u2019s going to take effort and the right resources to help us overcome the obstacles along the way.<\/p>\n\t<p>This is where the key concepts of WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) come into play. We need Hope, Personal Responsibility, Education, Self-Advocacy, and Support. It will take all of these elements to help us on the journey. Whether you are in recovery, helping others in their recovery, or simply trying to navigate life, prioritize your wellbeing by utilizing your WRAP plan daily.<\/p>\n\t<p>You\u2019ve likely heard the saying, \u201cThe journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,\u201d attributed to Lao Tzu. Well, what is your one step? What is one small action you can take today that will benefit you on the journey toward wellness? Maybe it\u2019s taking a mindful walk or preparing a healthy meal to enjoy. Perhaps it\u2019s reading an encouraging book for 15 minutes. Or maybe it\u2019s reaching out to a trusted friend or family member for support. Determine your single step, and then \u2013 with courage \u2013 take it today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div><br \/>\n\t<strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.5em; padding-bottom: 5px;\">Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) Week: June 11 \u2013 17 <\/span><\/strong>\n\t\n\t<div><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cbhiemployeecenter.com\/cbhidocs\/employeecenter\/Home\/images\/2026\/Nursing-Assistants-Week.jpg\" style=\"float: right; padding-left: 20px; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-top: 10px\"><\/div>\t\n\t<div>\n\t\t<p>This year, June 11 \u2013 17 marks Certified Nursing Assistants Week! According to the National Association of Health Care Assistants, the theme for CNA Week is \u201cWe\u2019re Unbelievable!\u201d At Crestwood, our CNAs are unbelievably committed to the people we serve. Thank you for coming to work with compassionate hearts and enthusiastic attitudes. Your caring actions and your remarkable resilience shine brightly each day! We are so grateful for our CNAs and the incredible support you provide for the people we serve! <\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"clear: both;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n<div><br \/>\n\t<strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.5em; padding-bottom: 5px;\">Summer Self-Care<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n\t\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cbhiemployeecenter.com\/cbhidocs\/employeecenter\/Home\/images\/2026\/Summer-Self-Care.jpg\" style=\"float: left; padding-right: 20px; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-top: 30px\"><br>\n\t<p>June 21 ushers in the summer season \u2013 the perfect opportunity to focus on some self-care for your mind, body, and soul. You invest so much in others. Be sure to take some time to care for yourself too!<\/p>\n\t<p>Provide some rest for your mind by setting aside all the busy thoughts and inviting in peace and stillness. Spend time meditating on some positive affirmations while you do some deep breathing exercises, exhaling stress and inhaling tranquility.<\/p>\n\t<p>Find ways to move your body throughout the day. Whether that be participating in a Zumba session with persons served and staff, taking a walk during your break, or unwinding at the end of the day with some gentle yoga, it\u2019s important to prioritize physical activity that leaves you feeling refreshed. <\/p>\n\t<p>What nurtures your soul? What makes you feel connected and full of life? Perhaps it\u2019s spending time with dear friends. Maybe it\u2019s immersing yourself in music or nature. Or perhaps it\u2019s volunteering for a cause you\u2019re passionate about. Spend time this summer doing more of what you love!<\/p>\t\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"clear: both;\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n\n<div>\n\t<strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.5em; padding-bottom: 5px;\">Mindfulness Meditation: A Moment of Gratitude<\/span><\/strong>\n\t\n\t<div><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cbhiemployeecenter.com\/cbhidocs\/employeecenter\/Home\/images\/2026\/Gratitude-word.jpg\" style=\"float: right; padding-left: 20px; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-top: 10px\"><\/div>\t\n\t<div>\n\t\t<p>Gratitude is powerful. It shapes the way we see life \u2013 whether we view the cup as half empty, or half full. We can all incorporate more gratitude into our lives. A simple way to do so is to begin a daily gratitude practice. Consistency is key. Choose a time of day \u2013 when you first wake up, or during your lunch break \u2013 or even select a daily activity like washing the dishes to be your reminder. During this time, be mindful of 3 things you are grateful for. Choose anything \u2013 from a cup of coffee, to a family member, to your favorite vacation destination. Meditate on just those three things with intentionality, noting the reasons why you are so grateful for them.
