Welcome Santa Barbara crisis residential to Crestwood!

On June 1, Crestwood was excited and proud to assume the operations of the Santa Barbara Crisis Residential. The Santa Barbara Crisis Residential campus is located in the beautiful seaside city of Santa Barbara and provides a voluntary, short-term safe place to land for guests experiencing a psychiatric crisis. Their guests are greeted into a warm, homelike environment and we provide them with a variety of recovery-based tools such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and Trauma-Informed Approaches to help them to manage their symptoms and develop skills to live effectively in the community. The clinical treatment team is comprised of people with lived experience, who are trained and certified peer providers, with a wide-array of clinical expertise. Our guests are also encouraged to utilize our Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network program that provides pre-vocational job skills training.

Welcome Santa Barbara Crisis Residential staff and guests to our Crestwood family!

Mental health matters day at the capitol!

On May 22, Crestwood was once again proud to be one of the sponsors for Mental Health Matters Day–From Trauma to Hope, at the Capitol in Sacramento. Mental Health Matters Day brings together the community and organizations to help better the lives of those living with mental health challenges and strengthening the movement to end stigma. The event featured Keynote Speaker, Ruthie Bolton a two-time Gold Medal Olympian and former WNBA Sacramento Monarch star, who shared her person experience with trauma and recovery.

A special thanks to Crestwood Center Sacramento Campus Administrator, Adrain Smith, who came out to help staff our table and talk with people. It was a wonderful and inspiring day!
